The match ball was sponsored by Stan Hutchings and before the game started there was a minutes silence in memory of Lucketts Pete Bennett and Martin Edwards of Newquay who both passed away during the winter.
In the game Luckett had only themselves to blame for losing the game by eight runs as both Killey 69 and Hawkin 64 were both down altogether at least six times. The pick of the bowlers were Paul Ingerson 4-75 and Brian Robins 2-46.
In Luckett's innings Dave Brown scored 24, Darran Piper 12, Paul Ingerson 12, Dave Colwill 40, Ian Roberts 11, Adrian Robins 12 and Steve Garland a hard hit 53 (five fours and four sixes) which pulled the game back in Luckett's favour bit. Garland was caught on the boundary going for another big hit when Luckett needed only nine more runs from four overs. He and Dave Colwill hit a 32 for the eighth wicket and with Adrian Robins 32 for the ninth.
