A well known mascot was left in a quandary while visiting a Cornish school.
Plymouth Argyle Football Club’s mascot, Pilgrim Pete, was offered a cream tea while visiting the school. At the point of preparing his scones he was left with the age old question of which way to apply the jam and cream. Some parents were shocked to see the mascot standing outside the school with one scone sporting jam on the top - the Devon way!
Mark Fuller from Pool Academy said: ‘It was an amazing experience to have Plymouth Argyle’s official mascot, Pilgrim Pete, visit the academy for its open evening. But he was very confused with the Cornish cream tea situation.’
