The amalgamation of the two separate coroner’s areas governing Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly into one new single area came into effect today (April 1). This new single area will be known as the ’Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Coroner Area’.
The senior coroner for the new area is Dr Emma Carlyon, with support from assistant coroners Andrew Cox, Barrie Van Den Berg, Stephen Covell, Guy Davies, Ian Arrow and Deborah Archer.
