A police officer and his fiancee have an added incentive to make it to John

o'Groats on a sponsored cycle ride – they're getting married on the way.

PC Craig Powell and his bride-to-be Emma Sargent left on Wednesday on a 1,000-mile ride from Land's End to John o'Groats, as part of an eight-strong group mainly of police officers.

When the group crosses the Scottish border on Tuesday, Craig and Emma will be stopping off at Gretna Green to tie the knot.
