Cornwall Council chief executive Kevin Lavery has announced he will not be taking his full salary next year in recognition of the difficult financial situation facing Cornwall.
At the start of the new year Mr Lavery will take 95 per cent of his £200,000 salary and reduce the amount he claims for travel from 40p to 25p a mile.
