Kevin Steed of Pensilva, the 1995/96 winner, has a home draw against Nigel Veal (St. Ives) in the quarter-finals of the Cornwall individual snooker championship.

In the last round Kevin defeated John Dunn (St. Day) 3-1. After going 1-0 down to a 51 break by his opponent, Kevin hit back with a 78 clearance in the second frame and followed up with a break of 84 in the fourth, the highest break so far in this year's county competitions.
