CORNWALL Council’s cabinet wants to increase the number of people who receive the national living wage.
The cabinet agreed this week to take the next step in its commitment to pay the Living Wage Foundation’s Living Wage to those who deliver services on its behalf.
While the council already pays its directly employed staff the recommended rates, members said the new decision will help those working with the council’s contractors.
