CORNWALL is set for some heavy showers as it is among areas issued a yellow weather warning.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for all of Cornwall and parts of Devon as showers are expected to bring some disruption.

From 10pm tonight (August 28) until 12pm tomorrow (August 29) the region is set for ‘heavy showers and longer spells of heavy rain’ which ‘may bring some disruption to transport and infrastructure’.

The Met Office has explained that due to the weather, bus and train services will likely be affected with journey times taking longer. On top of this, spray and flooding on roads may lead to longer journey times, and that there is a possibility of flooding at a few homes and businesses.
