In the Cornish Times summer Social League ladies section Torpoint defeated Saltash 6-5 while Pelynt clinched a 8-3 victory over Lanreath.

Results - Saltash v Torpoint. Two all after the 1001, trebles and doubles the Singles resulted - S Boyd (100x2) lost to Lisa Ryan (140x2, 114) 109; A Franton lost to D Baldwin (100x4, 120) 1-0; J Quintell beat P Nicholls (100, 140) 1-0; W Tennant (102) lost to L Rust (100x2) 1-0; M O'Brian (120, 100) bt A Evans 1-0; L Nicholls (140, 100) lost to P Elliott (121, 100) 1-0; B Jones bt J Body 1-0. Torpoint won 6-5.

Lanreath v Pelynt. Pelynt led 3-1 after the 1001, trebles and doubles the singles resulted - T Knapman lost to P Pooley (100x2) 2-1; K Yeo (100) lost to S Mansfield 2-0; L Knapman bt L Mallett (100x2) 2-1; A Powell (100) bt P Knight (108) 2-1; C Haley lost to S Collins 0-2; K Brenton lost to T Dicks (100) 2-0; J carhart lost to I Yeo 2-1. Pelynt won 8-3.

Polperro v Looe. Looe led 3-1 after the 1001, trebles and doubles the singles resulted L Tubb (120) lost to J Symons; W Powell (100) beat P Reynolds 2-1; B Turner (100) bt A Alford 2-0; J Osborne lost to C Day 1-2; S Northcott lost to C Goldsmith (138) 2-1; L Jolliff (100) bt L Harris (100) 2-1; A Payne (140) bt C Dudley (147, 138, 100). Looe won 6-5.
