With both sides up against it and battling for points it was St Breward who left St Cleer on Saturday the happier of the two sides.

St Cleer had just edged a well contested first half and in the second took the lead through Steve Bishop.

With some 15 minutes remaining St Cleer were awarded a penalty for a handling offence and the chance to tie the game up fell to Timmy Jenkins. But he failed to score and it gave the visitors a chance. With 10 mins left Nick Dowling capped another fine game with a cracking equaliser. "The penalty miss proved the pivotal point of the game", said St Cleer manager Andy Pethick.
