Ashes continued their mid-season revival with a competent display against a hardworking Foxhole side. Taking the game to the Foxes is was no surprise when the opening goal came after 21 minutes play.

Interpassing between Matt Soole and Lee Grogan set up Greg Baldry who netted from 10 yards. Soole then added a second home goal rifling in a short from the edge of the box through a crowded penalty area. Foxhole continued to play the ball around but rarely troubled Chris Stacey in the home goal.

After the interval Saltash again pressed hard but young Nathan Huddy the Foxes goalkeeper made a succession of important saves to keep the scoreline down. Antony Steel made a typical run down the right and crossed for Steve Best to hit a thunderous shot into the roof of the net to secure the points for Saltash. Ryan Swiggs fast becoming Ashes most consistent player, had a fine game as sweeper, backed up by centre backs Steve Anbany and Dave Crocker.
