Liskeard were trailing after 25 minutes at Roche when Carl Paull's inch perfect cross was converted by Richard Ralph.

Despite chances being created at both ends Roche struck again in the 65th minute through Steve Dingle.

"It was no more than they deserved as Roche had been the best side", said Blues joint manager Martin Hodge. "There were some harsh word from Steve and myself during the break".

But as against Wadebridge in their last home match Roche couldn't hold onto their lead and had to settle for a point from a 2-2 draw. Sub Chippy Chapman raised the visitors hopes when he scored from a sharp angle and then in injury time Steve West levelled from the penalty spot. "There was only time for us to kick-off when the ref blew for time, we were that close", said Roche boss Billy Osborne. "Still I'm pleased with the result, what it now shows is our ability to mix it with the 'big boys'.

Hodge said: "We showed a lot of character and hit back to claim a point when all seemed lost,"
