Top goalscorers Liskeard crushed St Breward in the first half with a tremendous burst of attacking play. They netted six times to put the win beyond doubt.

Leading marksman Colin Barrett set Liskeard on their way in the 15th minute easily beating Daniel Parsons from eight yards after Derek Thompson had unselfishly set him up.

Three minutes later it was two with Thompson scoring from Pete Jefford's cross.

With Thompson proving a real thorn in St Breward's side the talented midfielder broke through and provided Jefford with the Blues third.

St Breward offered little in the first half as they fought to repulse Liskeard's lively attack. Liskeard made it four when Parsons uncharacteristically dropped a high ball and Steve Cloke tapped in.

Cloke's flick header from a Steve West centre stretched Liskeard's lead to five and just before the break Lee Maddock rattled in the sixth with a left footed corker.

Joint manager Martin Hodge conceded it was always going to be difficult for Liskeard to 'keep it up' and this proved the case. St Breward often looked the more likely in the second half and pulled one back when Dave Waters netted from 25 yards following Mike Pooley's short pass from a free kick.

Blues 'keeper Paul Lowden somehow tipped a dipping drive from Martin Smith onto the bar before a last minute strike from Jefford gave Liskeard their seventh goal.
