A community arts project presented by the newly formed Looe Theatre Company, will see the production of family favourite, Oliver, the musical. To run from February 16 - 19, 2005, Oliver will be performed in Looe, and auditions, open to all, from the age of 8 upwards will be held on September 25 and 26. The joint venture is by Val Cottrell and Sheila Brock and they are urging everyone to get involved. They say the stars of the show are 'You' the community so please come along to the auditions. Apart from people needed to play the well loved characters of the cheeky 'Dodger', sly Fagin, dour Bill Sykes, warm hearted Nancy and Oliver himself, there are many other parts on offer. Val and Sheila say 'come and act, sing, dance, or offer technical or backstage support eg lighting, front of house, wardrobe, tea making, no experience needed, we can teach you!'
