Plymouth based telephone, television and Internet company, Eurobell, will soon be laying a new communications network throughout Saltash during l999 and 2000.
Following a presentation to local councillors late last year Eurobell is now liaising with Cornwall county council and Caradon district council to ensure a smooth progression of works - and to minimise disruption to residents.
Network construction is planned to start in the Carkeel and Burraton areas in mid-March this year, and will progress throughout l999 to include Burraton Coombe, starting in the early summer, and St Stephens, starting in the autumn.A freephone helpline (0800 401301) has been set up to take calls from residents with any questions or concerns.
All works are to be carried out in conjunction with the highways authority, who may require work in certain roads to be carried out at non 'traffic sensitive' times, including evenings and weekends.
