TOP comedian Bill Bailey was banned from driving by a court in South East Cornwall yesterday.
The funnyman and actor, who has a high-profile on television, was charged with speeding at 40mph in a 30mph zone at Doubletrees, St Blazey. He was in the area last July for a performance at the Eden Project.
His case was heard at Liskeard Magistrates' Court.
Bailey, 43, of Hammersmith Grove, London, admitted the charge.
He was fined £500 with £60 costs and a £15 victims' surcharge.
Bailey, who had two previous speeding convictions, was banned under the totting-up system for six months.
