Two unconverted tries apiece was a fair result in this local contest. This was an exciting game because of the closeness of the two sides.
However there was little pattern to the play with strong defending and turnovers the order of the day.
Launceston broke well from the front of the line-out and their handling along the backs looked impressive but failed to find any real gaps in the defence.
Both Launceston's tries came from individual breaks. Liskeard/Looe's first try followed a period of constant pressure on the opposition try line including several disallowed attempts (unclear touchdowns).
The final outcome of this pressure was a score by scrum-half Sam Stephen following a rare third phase possession.
Liskeard's final try was an individual effort by Bas Hocking to level the scores, with a run from his own 22 metre area, down the touchline handing - off several players on the way.
No training for the U-13s on Friday November 5.
