Torpoint and Rame Community Nurses' Friends held a coffee morning at the Band Hut on Saturday. As well as refreshments, there were stalls selling books and bric-a-brac. Local artist Iris Williams was selling her framed watercolours of local scenes. Despite the cold weather the ladies were busy and raised £221.04. Their aim is to raise more than £1,000 for a spirometer, medical equipment that measures the air capacity in lungs.
