Caradon Cobras, who are members of Caradon swimming club, swam extra fast when entering a grade open meet at Swindon recently.
Three members - Alistair Wright, Joe Werry and Matthew Hopkins - swam faster than allowed for the grade they were entering.
All the swimmers achieved personal best times or won medals. These included Leanne Corbidge, Matthew Hopkins, Claire Libby, Anna Luff, Rachael Arnold, Libby Fuge, Ami Wells, Jacqui Cooke, Stacey Moxham, Lucas McKay, Charlie Gillett, Lucy Dodd and Claire Sheppard.
Medals went to Jacqui Cooke, Kirsty Milner and Anna Luff who all achieved a second place and a silver medal.
Chief coach, Simon Ashton, said: 'The swimmers had a great time, both in the pool and being away from home for the weekend. A lot of them swam in their first open meet and came away with 31 personal best times and four silver medals.'
Nick Wadland, aged 12, swam for the Cornwall county Celtic squad on Saturday at the Maxwell open at Stoke Manderville village and achieved a silver medal in the l00m freestyle, a gold medal in the 50m freestyle, sixth in the breaststroke and fifth in the 400m freestyle.
Mariesa Newman, aged 11, was also chosen to swim in the same squad, taking part in three events and gaining personal bests in all of them.
Michael Harvey, 11, swam at Millfield on Saturday and came fifth in the fly and sixth in backstroke and swam 50m freestyle, also gaining personal bests in all of them.
