TWO young people have had their heads shaved for charity.

Twenty-year-old Bonnie Farley lives in Millbrook and has worked in the village's Co-op for two years.

Bonnie decided not only would she have her head shaved for the Co-operative's chosen charity, the Carer's Trust – but that she would also dye her hair green first!

With almost £1,400 in sponsorship, Bonnie's gesture was watched by colleagues, friends and customers who gathered outside the store.

Meanwhile in Looe, assistant manager of the Cancer Research shop Bev Richardson watched as her son Matthew had his hair shaved off for the charity – in the shop window. Matthew, 22, raised around £200, and decided to donate his long hair to the Little Princesses Trust, which makes wigs for children whose hair has fallen out during treatment for cancer.
