MEMBERS of a club supporting victims of stroke had the chance to dress up in full civic regalia during a visit from their town’s mayor.

Christina Whitty was recently elected for the second year as mayor of Liskeard, and she has chosen the Next Step Stroke Club as one of her nominated charities for 2018-19.

The club meets at the Liskerrett Centre on a Monday afternoon from 1.30 - 3.30pm. Its aim is to give support to stroke survivors and their carers and highlight that they are not alone in what they face.

The club offers support with communication and other issues, as well as providing guest speakers, outings, games, quizzes and art.
