Members of the Polperro Fishermen’s Choir (PFC) sang on the deck of The Mumbles lifeboat during a trip to south west Wales.

The choir, under their musical director Phil Carrigan, was visiting the area to sing in a joint concert with the Bryncoch Male Voice Choir at Skewen, near Swansea.

It was the reciprocation of a visit by the Welsh singers to Cornwall earlier in the year; the Bryncoch choir joined the local men at Looe lifeboat station in June, helping the PFC to raise more than £1,700 for the RNLI this year.

The Mumbles lifeboat station is one of the busiest in the country. Over its 170-year history, the crews have been presented with 33 awards for gallantry but 18 crew members have lost their lives saving others.
