Liskeard entertained a very strong Truro team. Gary Trudeau, Keith Brewer, Norman Wade amd Jack Otter all lost against players graded at least 30 points higher than them. Liskeard lost one and a half to four and a half.

Douglas Cooke, aged 12, won his match against an opponent graded eight points higher than him. Douglas has now p[layed seven league matches, winning five and drawing one.

He has also won his one match in the under 15 team. This is an extremely good record. In the County Falmouth cup competition which is a six round competition held over a weekend, Douglas achieved four wins and a draw to achieve second place.

Mike King drew his match against an opponent graded 36 points higher than him, which was also a good result.

The Liskeard club is struggling this season after achieving promotion last season. However staying in the first division is possible as it looks as if two teams from Truro B, North Cornwall and Liskeard will be relegated.
