A RESTAURANT is once again offering “Food for Heroes” during the lockdown.

Last year, the Himalayan Spice in Liskeard provided keyworkers with a meal as a way to say thankyou for their dedication.

Now owner Suresh Khatri Chatri and the staff are pleased to extend the invitation, on Wednesdays for the next month, to NHS workers, post office staff and people working in schools.

•NHS workers - February 3 and 10

•School workers- February 17 and 24

•Post office workers- March 3 and 10

“All you have to do is text us on 07713 281369 on the right day with your collection time and menu choice and simply bring your ID with you when you collect,” said Suresh.

“We’re taking all steps possible to minimise COVID19 risk. As the restaurant is currently closed we have a huge indoor waiting area to enable our customers to distance from one another.

"We all must stay two metres away from each other at all times. People can be infected but not show any symptoms.

“We would advise customers not to travel if they are feeling unwell. This will help to protect others."
