LOSTWITHIEL Rotary Club will this month be holding its 13th annual Charity Beer Festival, an event which over the years has raised many thousands of pounds for charity, with £3,000 being donated to local good causes last year alone. This year’s event will be held in Lostwithiel Community Centre on Saturday, March 19, from 11am- 11pm. As has become traditional, the popular draw will coincide with the final day of the RBS Six Nations Rugby and a big screen will show all three matches from 2.30pm, ending with France v England at 8pm. The event will feature music and comedy provided by Johnny Cowling and a disco. Entrance charges in aid of charities are the same as last year, and beer prices also remain the same, with a choice of 20 different ales. There will again be wines provided by Ellis Wharton Wines of Par and soft drinks will also be available.
