THE Looe Cancer Campaign shop in Fore Street is looking for a little light music - for a special evening of fundraising.

The shop is due to hold its purchase and preview evening on Monday March 1 from 6.30pm to 9pm. This is the evening when the stock will be changed over from winter to spring and summer and the shop will also be re-launched with a new look.

FOR the fourth consecutive year the Lions club of Callington is extending an invitation to all bona fide clubs and charity organisations to take part in a fund-raising walk.

They are providing the chance for such groups to raise money for their own good causes through sponsorship, whilst enjoying a pleasant stroll through the footpaths of the Tamar Valley. Non-affiliated individuals are welcome to take part, and can walk on behalf of the Lions' own charity fund.

Sponsor forms and more details of The Daffodil Walk are now available from Callington town hall, the event due to take place on March 20. All participants should assemble at St Dominic village hall by l0am for registration and selection of route, which varies from one to ten miles.

Apart from controlling the reception area Lions members will act as marshalls and operate drinks stations along the routes, for the expected 200 plus strollers.
