SALTASH town councillors are considering the possibility of displaying the model of the Celtic Cross in the Guildhall foyer. The project to feature a Celtic Cross at Carkeel is still on going and a spokesman for the committee said that they are still trying to raise funds to carry out a feasibility study on the new site offered by Waitrose. The Market and Coastal Towns Initiative at Saltash is adopting the project of the Celtic Cross. The policy and resources committee is to provide two new mayoral boards in the town council chamber at the Guildhall to record when mayors of the town have been in office and the year.
