Caradon sported a new team strip for their first home game of the season. With the start delayed due to road closures, it was Caradon first off the grid with a goal straight from the training ground.
Josh Terry injected a ball into the path of Neil Spencer to deflect past the stranded 'keeper.
Leon Farrow then got his first of the day with a crisp shot from the edge of the D.
Some indiscipline from Caradon saw them go into the break with ten men but still two goals to the good.
More cards followed in the second half, leaving Caradon with nine players, but the plan of defending until the team were at full strength soon went out of the window as Spencer set off from inside his own half, beating the Penzance defence before coolly slipping the ball under the on-rushing 'keeper.
With the Caradon side back to full complement, it was Farrow who netted next when firing home after Paul Luiten's shot was well saved.
Penzance rarely threatened, with Paul Foster and Steve Walsh commanding the defence.
Caradon's fifth was a cracker, with Luke Jeffrey supplying the cross for Terry to open his account. Farrow then completed his hat-trick, ending a great team move.
Penzance picked up a consolation goal with minutes to spare, but it was Caradon who ran out worthy 6-1 winners.
