Students with little or no knowledge of computing will be prepared for the OCR (formerly RSA) Computer Literacy and Information Technology Certificate (see 2L54T above); those who have already achieved CLAIT will work towards the follow-on Integrated Business Technology Certificate. The elements covered in the CLAIT course will be Word Processing, Databases and Spreadsheets; this work will be developed and extended on IBT2 to include graphical representation, integration of files and presentation of documents. Both qualifications are achieved by continuous assessment during the course. Fees include Centre fee and supplements but not the assessment fee, approx £19.50, payable by ALL students prior to the examination entry date. Students paying the full fee may be entitled to Income Tax Relief of £9.08 upon completion of the appropriate Inland Revenue form; Assessment fees will also be eligible for tax relief. Limited to 12 students, early enrolment strongly advised.
