Cornwall Council have shelved controversial plans to raise parking charges, said Callington Councillor Andrew Long on social media.
He Tweeted: ’Pleased to say that myself and (Liskeard councillor) Sally Hawken have been successful and Cornwall Council have shelved plans for parking increases for now.’
Proposals had included a price rise and new post-4pm charges in areas where parking at that time is free at the moment.
