A car smashed into a shop front window in Liskeard on Wednesday evening causing thousands of pounds worth of damage.
Police were called to Miller and Son estate agents on Barras Street at about 8pm after a man from Newquay apparently reversed his ford mondeo into the shop front.
The man, who was in his 70s and had his wife in the car when the accident happened, was in the area to give a presentation to Liskeard stamp club. The couple were shaken up and an ambulance was called, but nobody was badly injured.
Chrissie Dawe, who works at the shop, arrived at the scene shortly after the incident. She said: 'A friend drove past and saw what was happening and let me know.'
