ST MELLION Fossils captain Keith Field hosted more than 80 members and their wives on Ladies' Night at St Mellion.

Also present were a number of special guests, including new club captain, Jonathon Behennah; Gwyneth McLoughlin, from Children's Hospice South West, and Graham Parkinson, from Derriford Children's Cancer Service.

The skipper spoke of the generosity of the Fossils during his captaincy and how their contributions would benefit youngsters who did not enjoy good health, together with their families.

During the year, £2,660 was raised – £1,330 to both Children's Hospice South West and Derriford Children's Cancer Service.

The evening concluded with dancing and music provided by Terri Dene.
