Liskeard Public Hall was the venue for this year’s annual fund-raising concert for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Liskerret Male Voice Choir welcomed their special guests Lostwithiel Town Band and soloist Ted Pinguey.
Compere for the evening, Adrian Wilton, introduced the choir, accompanied by Graham Bray and led by Kerry Hackworth, for their first set beginning with Silver Trumpet and finishing with a seasonal version of Kumbayah, which featured four choir members taking solo parts.
This was followed by the band, who performed a selection of Christmas tunes including an arrangement of Away In A Manger under their musical director Norman Pendray.
Adrian then introduced Ted Pinguey to sing Anthem from the musical Chess, accompanied by his wife Judith.
Throughout the evening the programme was interspersed with carols sung by the audience and choir.
For their second set the choir included the carol Spirit of Christmas which was written and arranged by their MD, and then invited a number of their partners to join them to sing Jingle Bells and Let There Be Peace On Earth.
The Band then led the choir and audience in Schneewaltzer, with everyone attempting to sway in unison while singing the lyrics in German.
After more seasonal selections from the Band, Ted Pinguey concluded the programme with Scarlet Ribbons.
The choir sang to the residents at Eventide home in Liskeard last week and this week are performing at Pentillie Castle, St Ive Church and the Echo Centre.
