A Liskeard mum is hoping followers of The Cornish Times can help put a smile back on the face of her young daughter in time for Christmas.

Sarah McCaig has asked for help after three-year-old Ailla’s favourite cuddly, Pink Ted, went missing during a shopping trip around Liskeard town centre.

Sarah has revisited some of the shops she went into on the ill-fated trip but so far Pink Ted has not been found.

Sarah said: ’Ailla was given Pink Ted when she was born and over time he has become number one teddy.

’It’s awful - she is asking for him at night.

’I just hope we can get Pink Ted home for Christmas for her.’
