Daffodil walk
a big success
THE recent 'Walk Through The Daffodils,' organised by the Lions Club of Callington was a big success.
Almost 200 people took part in the annual event which includes walks on one, five and ten miles in length, through the Tamar Valley, and by kind permission of the National Trust, part of the Cotehele Estate.
Many walkers are sponsored in an effort to raise funds for charity.
This year, some 15 charities were chosen including the Macmillan Nurses and the St John Ambulance, who were also on hand with assistance. Other organisations to benefit from the £2,000 raised were Harrowbarrow Playgroup and School, Gunnislake Scouts, Gunnislake Jubilee celebrations and Stoke Climsland Scouts and Beavers.
