Student receives
prestigious award
A CALLINGTON student has been awarded one of the country's biggest honours - The Princess Diana memorial award.
Steve Scott from Callington community college has received the award for his work in and around the schools.
Steve has been the leader of Callington's College Support Team (CST) which helps in the every day running of the school. He put time and effort into the running of the group and into helping others.
The award was launched nationwide in April 2000 to recognise the contribution of secondary school students to their schools and communities.
Each secondary school in the UK can nominate one student or group of students for an award, and since it has been set up over 1500 pupils from 630 schools have received awards.
