Apple antics
AN unusual family event with an apple theme takes place on Sunday at East Farm, Rezare (between Launceston and Callington).
Apple Antics has been arranged by the Cornwall Wildlife Trust's Launceston Group, with apple related activities provided by many helpers. Artist Robin Paris will be making a mosaic using apples of different colours, to which each child will make a contribution.
There will be apple storytelling, games and lots of refreshments. The whole thing takes place in the setting of a wonderful old orchard and there will be indoor facilities in the case of wet weather.
The organisers are aiming to make this a fun event and at the same time to get across some important messages about nature. Those attending are asked to bring apples with them, as well as any apple facts or recipes they know.
Apple Antics takes place from 2.00pm to 5.00pm and directions are available on (01872) 240777 ext 200.
