Unfortunately Bruce Brown, Pastor of the Mustard Seed, was unable to be there. The club said farewell to Jean and Ken Badcock who have worked for the club for years; Ken has been a very able treasurer and Jean a successful chairman and vice chairman. They are moving to Wadebridge and will be sadly missed.
A delicious meal of turkey and all the trimmings was organised, served and cooked by Julie Hutchings, Susan Hicks, Jean Badcock and Marina Herbert. Charles Richards later arrived as Father Christmas and gave each member a pot of homemade marmalade made by his daughter Ailsa Bowden of Plymouth. The party was entertained with an enjoyable sing-a-long by Mr Jim McIntyre. The table decorations were delightful and they have been made for the last eighteen years by Mrs Jenny Jackaman as a Christmas gift to the club.
