Student success

Leanne Tapp, a former Callington college student is now working for B. A. Systems in Plymouth and is enjoying great success after completing a two year Business Administration traineeship.

Girls' choir from the USA

The Wisconsin Girls Choir is coming to England in June and have asked Callington College to be one of their venues.

They will be in Callington for the weekend of June 24/25 and will perform on Saturday night in a joint concert with the college.

The choir consists of approximately 30 girls aged 10 to 15 and 20 adult helpers. Callington Community College is looking for families willing to host the girls in groups of two or three for Saturday and Sunday night. If you feel you could offer to put them up contact Mrs S. Jazmin in top 12

On January 22 nine year seven students took part in the county schools cross country championships in Truro. The girls were competing in a field 54 and the boys in a field of 78. Jazmin Chapman, who finished in the first 12, was been invited to run in the South West schools' cross country at Cheltenham.
