Callington and Gunnislake Ladies' summer darts league - Gunnislake B suffer their first defeat

Bulls Head entertained Callington SC in Division One and gained a somewhat surprising first win of the summer. Bulls took the team games 2-1 and followed this success with two singles victories through Wendy Lloyd and Phyl Freeman, but could not help the final score of 4-3 in Social Club's favour.

League leaders Gunnislake SC B hosted Tavistock Hotel and Tavy began well taking the team games 2-1. Their two singles victories came through Val Downing and Sue Helcoop. Gunny took two through Pam Southcott and Trish Monahan, but went down by 4-3, which means a first league defeat for the Social Club this summer.

An in-house Division Two derby took place at Stoke Climsland Social

Club and resulted in the A team gaining their first victory of the summer. They led 2-1 after the team games and then took two singles through Maureen Webber and Birdie Craven. The B team also took two, through Jackie Ponting and Sandie Palmer, but could not stop their opponent's 4-3 victory..

Callington CC (Spinners) entertained Coryton Arms and were on the wrong end of a clean-sweep defeat. The visitors took all three team games and then the four singles through Jane Sturgess, Lindsay Nicholls and Wendy and Rose Knight for a 7-0 win.

In the Inter-divisional match first round, first leg, Gunnislake gained a 4-3 win over Callington CC (Scorers). Gunnislake SC A won 8-6 on aggregate.
