Police are urging householders to ensure that they are security conscious, and lock up well at night.
Their plea follows a series of break-ins in usually isolated properties in the Saltash, Liskeard and Looe areas. Community Sgt for Caradon, Steve Torr, said that householders should ensure that they do not make life easy for burglars - and should carry out a safety routine which involves locking windows, especially those downstairs, and cat and dog flaps. He said that amazingly some burglars have been using dog and cat flaps to get into homes.
