The mayor of Looe, Ron Overd, presented the Mayor's Shield to Army Cadet Charles Granville for the ensuing year of duty. Also attending the presentationwas the president of Looe British Legion, Louis Portman, who presented the Royal British Legion Shield for the most achieved cadet to Army Cadet Lance Corporal Danielle Crudace. Mr Overd said that he was delighted to present the Shield and that he certainly recommends youngsters to join the Army Cadets, which is a voluntary youth organisation. The Looe Army Cadets meet every Wednesday and Thursday at 7pm at the Cadet Hut, Sunrising Estate, commanded by Sergeant Instructor Johnathan Geach and Tom Grundy.
