On May 20, local social enterprise RE:SOURCE is opening the doors of its Bodmin-based warehouse in a bid to communicate the work it does in the local community; and offer customers exclusive access to stock, before it hits the sales floor.

The extraordinary shopping event will allow customers to browse a huge variety of products that have not yet been made available for general sale; and with over 1,000 items in storage at the facility, there will be lots to choose from!

The organisation, which is a subsidiary of national charity Addaction, has been working in the local area for nearly 10 years, helping to divert waste from landfill, provide affordable furniture options and help reduce social exclusion by providing supported work placements and personal development support.

Each year RE:SOURCE diverts 120 tonnes of household items from landfill and supports approximately 150 people with personal development, employability support or work experience and volunteering placements.

Guided tours will be available for customers throughout the day and there will also be a chance to meet some of the volunteers and trainees that are benefiting from the services that are provided by RE:SOURCE; and largely financed by product sales.

The warehouse, which is located on Walker Lines Industrial Estate will be open from 10am – 2pm on May 20.  For more information visit www.myresource.org.uk or call 01208 269296.
