VISIT Tamar Valley has launched a brand new website ahead of a predicted rise in UK tourists to the area.
Following a rebrand last autumn and with the help of Mihi Digital, the team has created the website to support marketing, drive visitor numbers, and showcase the many small tourism and hospitality businesses that operate in the Tamar Valley.
It will act as a digital hub that brings together all the information that a visitor might need, as well as providing tourism businesses with a digital shop front.
Jo Butler of the Visit Tamar Valley Committee said: ‘The website looks great and really shows off the Tamar Valley beautifully, as well as the amazing quality of accommodation, and attractions that visitors can choose from.
“As 2021 unfolds we’re planning to develop the website still further. We want businesses to be able to manage bookings and even carry out e-commerce activities.”
The website will also help to demonstrate how businesses and local people are protecting the environment. It’ll signpost visitors to ways in which they can explore the Tamar Valley on foot, on the water or by using the public transport infrastructure.
It has been a challenging time for many small businesses, says Visit Tamar Valley, but they say they are excited about a predicted upswing in domestic tourism once restrictions are lifted.
