The NatWest Bank has announced it will close its Liskeard branch as the number of customers visiting the bank in person dwindles.
The bank is set to close its doors on June 18, 2018 – and its Bodmin branch will also be closing in May of next year.
Over the last five years, says NatWest, it has seen the way customers do their banking change drastically. Many customers now do their banking online and on their phones, says the company.
A spokesperson said: ‘Transactions in the NatWest Liskeard branch have reduced by 33% since 2012, with now only 67 customers visiting the branch on a regular weekly basis.’
