Nearly 30% of people planning to holiday in Britain this year aim to head for Devon or Cornwall, according to a new survey.

People planning to stay in the UK for their holidays over the next 12 months selected their top ten list of destinations in a survey by Trainline.

The capital came out on top as London landmarks proved the most popular domestic draw, with over a third (36%) of all visits being planned to the city. Cornwall came second (14.7%) and Devon third (14.4%).
