The owners of a beach cafe in Cornwall say they are looking forward to the summer season after being given permission to serve alcohol with meals, writes Richard Whitehouse, local democracy reporter.
Constantine Beach Cafe at Constantine Bay near Padstow had applied for an alcohol licence.
However the application had attracted a number of objections from locals who claimed that serving alcohol close to the beach could be dangerous.
Cornwall Council’s licensing act sub-committee considered the application and after hearing evidence from objectors and cafe owner Adam Gartrell they granted the licence.
