A Looe bakery shop which has shut for the time being will be reopening in the new year.
The Palfrey family has owned its shop, in Fore Street, for more than 55 years, and after 12 years away from the trade, Del Palfrey plans to return to the family business.
‘My grandfather moved his bakery to these premises in 1960 and, as a young man, I helped my father bake there,’ said Del. ‘I am really excited about going back to baking.’
The shop will be closed for refurbishment and modernisation over the winter months.
