Around 120 young people gathered at the Eden Project to mark the beginning of National Apprenticeship Week yesterday.

The guests – a mixture of current apprentices and those interested in taking up an apprenticeship – came together to share their experiences and take part in activities across the Eden Project, including den-building and orienteering.

Apprentices who attended the event included those from the NHS and Cornwall Council as well as the Eden apprentice team, who cover a range of disciplines at the project, including horticulture, hospitality and events management.

National Apprenticeship Week runs until Friday and seeks to encourage more people to choose apprenticeships.
