A Liskeard apprentice’s achievements show how vocational training can work, says his boss.
Lantoom Quarry, Moorswater, employee Alex Reeves has gained his Level 4 Diploma in Health, Safety and Environmental Management for the extractive and minerals processing industries.
The firm’s managing director, Richard Crocker, said: ‘Alex’s achievements are a good example of how an employee can use the vocational training route to improve their skills and qualifications. This is vital to improving business productivity and earnings and also address the technical skills deficit. Lantoom now has 21 staff and achieved record quarry production and sales turnover in our last financial year.’
Alex, of Pelynt, has been with Lantoom for three years.
